The Parker Wilson Duo features pianist Teri Parker and vocalist Aubrey Wilson, playing jazz and popular songs from the 1950’s to present day.

parker wilson duoTeri Parker is a freelance pianist and composer based in Toronto. She leads her own band,the Teri Parker Quartet, and co-leads the Parker Abbott Trio with pianist Simeon Abbott. Both of these groups play frequently in jazz clubs in Toronto and feature all original music, with the support from the Toronto Arts Council through the music creation program. She also plays regularly with vocalist Aubrey Wilson, featuring jazz and popular songs from the 1950’s to present day. In spring 2014 Teri had the opportunity to study in NYC with world renowned pianists and composers; Aaron Goldberg, Sophia Rosoff and Guillermo Klein. This was made possible when she received the Chalmers professional development grant from the Ontario Arts Council. In March 2013 Teri participated in the Banff Winter Creative Music Residency with the Parker Abbott Trio, followed by a tour performing at music venues throughout Alberta. She has studied with many notable teachers including Fred Hersch as part of the School of Improvised Music Workshop (2009) and David Braid during her time at the University of Toronto, where she graduated in jazz performance in 2008.

Aubrey Wilson is a jazz vocalist based out of Southern Ontario. Aubrey has been actively involved in the performing arts since the age of 6. During the time of 2009 until 2012 Aubrey completed a diploma in vocal jazz performance from Mohawk College. While attending Mohawk Aubrey studied extensively with some of the best musicians in Canada including Carol McCartney, Mim Adams, Pat Collins, Bob Shields, Bob Hamper, Chris McLaughlin, and Sophia Perlman.
Aubrey leads her quartet who has actively gigging in both the Hamilton and Toronto areas since 2012. Aubrey also has been actively performing with Teri Parker, a accomplished pianist based out of Toronto.
Aubrey Wilson has performed at the 11th annual gala featuring Heather Bambrick, sang backup for Larry Carlton, and recorded at Grant Avenue Studios for the Mohawk College Christmas and Promotional C.D. In addition, Aubrey participated in the 2014 TD Toronto Jazz Festival, and recently performed a sold out concert at McMaster University’s state of the art immersive LIVELab.
